Brooklyn Botanical Garden

The BBG was right up there on my list of things to do in NYC - I frkn heart gardens. Tuesdays are free admission so we decided to go today - in hindsight we prolly should have gone to a gallery or museum or ice factory because it is SO damn hot today : [ Also it seems the best time to visit the garden would be in Spring - a lot of the stuff I wanted to see, like the Bluebell Wood and Cherry Esplanade had just finished flowering. Oh well, it was still heaps pretty.

Anyway, so that was kind of fun. But it is still stinking hot, and I am having the worlds heaviest period and missing Mark like crazy. So I'm going to go eat Ben n Jerry's icecream and moan until we go out tonight - Martha Wainwright, Chris Thile (from Nickel Creek), Jim Campilongo, Ari Hest and The Bees (US Bees, not UK) are playing a free show, but Darryn Hayes is a friend of a friend so we've been put on the door for his show tonight - so we're going to that first and then will see what happens.
