OH HAY BLOGGGGG

So I haven't updated this thing for a while, basically because I havn't done anything REALLY exciting, and I'm not sure if anyone other than Mark (haaaaay baby) cares about what dress I didn't buy or what I ate for lunch. Anyway in order to keep in the habit here is a half-assed blog.

We went to Soho on Wednesday.. was it Wednesday? no that was yesterday. Monday, we must have gone then. Anyways basically just looked at some super expensive fashion stores, which was fun but not great - oh and what's with those goddam maternity dresses? The ones that are like tight at the top then loose? UGH. Ugliest things ever, and they are everywhere. Gross.

The most notable thing about our Soho day was the excellent Indian meal we got for lunch, but I'm not going to bother explaining how excellent it was - just go look at James'ss blog. We also accidentally passed this bakery that was used in Sex in the City. I don't know - I've never watched the damn show but it seemed to be quite an attraction judging by the amount of jrks out the front.

Here I am looking at my cupcake - I think I was trying to work out how much of my daily calorie intake the damn thing would be
okee I just looked it up.
So that was Soho, I did find an rly good dress at this vintage store, it was black, yellow and white panels sort of thing, it was a good dress but the fit wasn't super flattering and for $100 vintage dress I want to look like fire. Extra hott.

Uuuh Tuesday I've blogged. Wednesday was super hot, like a billion degrees, and I was still pmt - ing like damn crazy so I basically stayed inside - bar running a shopping errand for mark who was chasing some shirts over the internet (the store they were from turned out to be a couple of blocks from my house) - crazy huh. yeh. I did try on another dress, this one was $125 - I liked the neckline but the material it was made from made it a little awkward fitting. I took a photo to get a second opinion

The store is basically half a block from our apartment so I'll probably go back and have another look some time. Oh I also wrote a column for Rave so check that shit out next Tuesday.

TODAAAY we were going to go on a free walking tour - I am keen to learn some history about NYC. I did borrow a book on it but only got to the part where England took over from the Dutch before uni/work etc interrupted. I'm not really sure what happened after that. We kinda left it late to leave so we missed out on actually doing the walk - but Im keen to look into another one in order to come back to Aus knowing more about NYC then when I left: bar knowing the locations and quality of the vintage stores. So we didn't do anything educational today - instead we went to Barney's and bought new jeans. I got a pair of Cheap Mondays for $60 - they are very tight, feel like cardboard leggings or something. They are also pretty high cut so I'm not sure how I actually feel about them yet.

Here is a picture I took when I was trying to work out if my ass looked hot in them or not
The jury is still out on that one. The cats seemed to like them but I think they just enjoy leaving their fur all over everything I own > : [

We basically then just wondered around East Village again. I went to Toy Tokyo which was hella swt - rly rly rly huge range of gear. One side is Eastern Stuff like Kaiju gear and also animie figures and stuff they've imported from Japan like Nintendo toys. Yah. The OTHER half was more the designer vinyl stuff, they had a lot but not too much I was heaps interested in, still trying to keep a clean collection so sticking to my three main artists. I picked up the Desmond Dolphin IWG figure, I was a bit concerned because I'd forgotten if I already owned one. I know I have the mini figure... But I'm 99% sure I don't have the big one. I also got a Pete Fowler Monster Trooper - I uum and aaahed over the Orange Boris BUT he didn't come with his blister packaging or or his ID card so I passed ($50). Totally regretting it though, I think he's worth more then that. I'm going to go check... I couldn't find anything... I think I'll go back and get him.

Earlier I mentioned my ass. I'm pretty concerned about my diet atm - for eg. today for breakfast i had a "hot fudge sundae" pop tart and lunch was fries and chicken strips and a dunkin donut (lime - frkn delicious) . Just thinking about it makes me feel fat. I also miss working out *kill me* so I decided to go for a jog. Because this blog has been so photo-light and because I was curious, here is the route I ran. The bit where it goes in circles was when I ran around the track at maccaren park.

Tonight we are going to go out - I've been itching to see this place "Barcade" its blurb says:

a drinking hall with a twist of atari. located on union ave in williamsburg this place is wall to wall, old school video games [pacman, miss pacman, space invaders, Moon Patrol, Centipede, Frogger, Donkey Kong, Zaxxon etc...] and a full fledged bar. always packed full of local booze and arcade enthusiasts.

Gaming and drinking - defs in my tops five fav things in the world.

Oh also found out that Die!Die!Die! are playing here next week, that'll be fun, am looking forward to seeing a familiar face.

I think that's all. What a terrible entry - I'm sorry : [
