Monday and MoMa
We went to Moma which was heaps fkn excellent. The main exhibition was of Richard Serra's work, he does these massive sculptures. His little stuff was not so impressive - like this guy for eg.
I mean its okee but yeh. His big stuff is amazing though, you walk through it and its pretty surreal, it looks like this
You can't really get how sweet it is from that but trust me it was excellent.
The other exhibition was called "What is Painting" and had a variety of paintings, and not paintings from the 1960s onwards. There was some pretty good stuff. I am clearly not very good at writing about art... aah yeh it was cool.... pretty.... i was a bit hungry. : [ I'm sorry.
The thing I found wierd was you're allowed to take pictures of everything, bar the Serra exhibition. I'm not comfortable w/ that really - oh here's me w/ a Klimt. But I took some photos of some other junk, especially of the design floor because it was cool and also Mark does design and he's cool too : ]
I hit up the gift store pretty hard, I got myself a I<3 NY snowdome that had a little plastic bag in it. Clever huh?
Then we walked around to find a tasty bagel. I love bagels so much. Here are some random pictures from that
After our tasty bagel James and I split up, but I will do a new blog for that : ]
