Welcome to [Hel]L A.

We have left New York. That bums me out so damn much, NYC is srsly amazing. I will be going back asap, the lady who we were subletting off said in an email "come back and have gin and tonics w/ me on the roof" and James and I were all : ' [

Anyway, we flew to LA, which was really easy (about 5hrs). I watched Science of Sleep and that movie about the ice sk8rs w Will Ferrell. It was so fkn terrible. Ugggh. Our hotel is basic but okee, we get orsum breakfast for free every morning. huzzah.

So. LA. We didn't really have a game plan for this city, there was a couple of toy stores and galleries I wanted to check out but that was about it. We set out to get to where I wanted to be without much idea of where we were going. We soon realised that not only is LA extremely spread out, there is also fuck all public transport. Brilliant. We got directions from some guy and ended up on Hollywood Blvd. It was awful. Sure there were stars on the side walk and junk but apart from that it was terrible shops like the ones that sell bongs and tshirts, tattoo places, tourist shops and porn clothes shops. James and I just assumed that we were away from, you know, the good part so set off on some crazy fkn journey to find out where the real stuff was.
This is the Hollywood sign
This is me in front of the Hollywood Sign. Really far in front of the Hollywood sign

We found this. I pretty much fell over laughing. "JamesJamesJames quick go stand in front oh man thats so hilarious lolololol"

To cut a long story short, we headed off in the wrong direction. For ages. So then we got a bus, which just went even further away. It was hot, we didn't have a map and were totally confused. Anyway, we ended up at like the ghettos of LA. We went to the supermarket.

pancake and sausage. on a stick.
The alcohol here is so cheap. A bottle of 1.75L vodka was $8.98
Anjac [y] fashion blog.

After the supermarket, we decided to try and get back to where we started. It was difficult (there are no maps on the bus stops or anything). While we were waiting for a bus, Lachlan and the rest of Die Die Die walked past. How fkn nuts is that. We chatted, they are well. They said that we were near Danzig's house - it has a pile of bricks out the front, and if you take them he comes out and throws junk at you. Lol. Anyway, so after all that we got back onto Hollywood Blvd, and realised, that WAS it. Fkn LA. So then we just walked up Sunset Blvd. It was so gross. Reminds me of Townsville. Then we got a bus home, it took like an hour. One bonus of the day, I got a swt dress

Hopefully today will be better - I am still to check out the stores (including Gallery 1988 - which does the excellent 'I am 8 Bit' show). Sigh. Tonight we are going to see Sonic Youth, they are doing a special performance of "daydream Nation'. Should be fkn good.

Cannot wait for San Diego.
